Biomass power plants – CHP (Combined heat and power) technology

Our biomass power plants (cogeneration plants) are produced for the energy supply of industrial processes and can be operated with steam or silicone oils. In a cogeneration process heat and electricity is generated. For the electricity production are used high mainly quality steam turbines. The modular design of our systems allows the detailed implementation of the plants according to the customers requirements and the respective fuels. The power plants are built up turnkey and handed over ready to work to our customers.

CHP plants – industrial applications up to 7.000 kWel

  • steam parameters of up to 35 bar and 500 °C
  • generate clean electricity and heat from biomass
  • possible producing up to 7.000 kWel and 28.000 kWth ( depending on the system design and fuel specification)

CHP Compact plants – work ready power plants up to 500 kWel

 

The compact systems CHP were developed specially for export projects and decentralized power applications. This plant type from 200 to 500 kWel is characterized by a very compact and space-saving design. All internal piping and electrical connections are prepared at the factory, so that the equipment can be delivered ready for use. The compact units are prefabricated at the factory on corresponding steel frames for quickly installation and start-up on side.

Plant design – customer specific and individual

 

The electrical power production is directly coupled to the heat consumption. 100 % output of the heat generator produce approximately 18 % electrical and 82 % thermal energy, depending on the operating parameters. In this division heat is available at a temperature of 90 °C. The lower the heat output temperature, the more electrical power and less heat power can be produced.

 

Waste heat usage – flexible process parameters and applications

 

The process heat occurred from the cogeneration process can be made available in the form of process water or process steam in a temperature range from 40 °C to 200 °C and a power range of 1.000 to 28.000 kWth. For the electrical power production back presure-, condensation-, or extraction turbines are used to provide the required process parameters. For a regulated power plant operation a continuous heat consumption is very important. In addition, variation of the heat consumption can be compensated with fully automatic cooling systems.

District heating

Process energy from biomass – reliable and sustainable energy supply

All industrial and commercial systems require a safe and economical energy supply. We plan and build turnkey power stations for various applications and processes. Next to warm water systems up to 110 °C, especially hot water systems up to 220 °C as well as process steam plants up to 35 bar and 500 °C are used. Our process steam systems can be performed by the modular structure also available with a self-power generation module or as full biomass cogeneration plants.

 District heating plants – regional energy supply up to 15.000 kWth

We plan and build modern and reliable local heating and district heating systems for industrial, commercial and private customers. Our experienced engineering team create energy studies, heat concepts and customer analyzations to develop the ideal power solution for each customer structure. As a general contractor we work in all project areas, from the construction of the heating plant, the district heating network to the heat connection of the end user.

Process energy systems – reliable process supply up to 15.000 kWth

For the energy supply of production processes, the use of biomass plays an increasing role instead of fossil fuels. The cost of the power supply can be significantly reduced with the use of local biomass fuels. This gives production companies a significant competitive advantage and provides good opportunities for development of the company. We develop together with our customers customized energy concepts and solutions to reduce the costs of energy supply in the long term and secure. Design parameters of our energy stations:

Each system is specially designed for the requirements of the energy consumers. The heat medium warm water, hot water or steam up to 500 °C and 35 bar can be used. Our energy supply systems can be operated with a variety of different fuels. The fuel transport systems and combustion technologies are always designed specifically for the available fuel.

The installations utilize mainly residues from agriculture and forestry which are regional available.

Biomass HOTAIR generators

Drying with biomass – HotAir-Technology

Our hot air generator systems are manufactured for the energy supply of industrial and agricultural drying plants. With the use of regionally available biomass instead of fossil fuels, the drying costs can be significantly reduced. Flexible technology and years of experience in the design of hot-air systems allow the combination with almost all available dryer models.

HotAir Generators –  industrial technology for high performance up to 10.000 kWth

Hot Air Generators  are made with a thermal capacity up to 10.000 kWth and can provide hot air volumes up to 400.000 m³/h and temperatures up to 1000 °C for all drying applications. The robust design allows the use of a wide range of different biomass fuels.

HotAir Compact  Generators — mobile compact plants up to 1.500 kWth

HotAir Compact installations from 500 to 1500 kWh is delivered as a ready compact system in container format and can be taken into operation without extensive building work within a few hours. Due to the compact design of the plants, space requirement on site is reduced to a minimum. The systems are mobile by the construction on a steel frame, and can therefore be used at different locations.

Gently product drying – indirect hot air generators up to 200 °C

 Our indirect hot air systems are used everywhere, where clean fresh air is needed. Especially in the food industry, the indirect drying becomes more popular, since the drying product does not come into contact with the exhaust gases from the combustion process. Through the use of an efficient and specifically for biomass designed exhaust gas / air heat exchanger, clean hot air can be produced up to 200 °C. So also modern drying systems with heat recovery installations can be powered optimally with our technology.

High-temperature drying – direct hot air generators up to 1.000 °C

For drying of mineral products such as sand or stones, high drying temperatures are required. With our biomass fired, direct hot air systems can be provided, depending on fuel humidity, hot gas up to 1000 °C. The combustion gas from the biomass combustion is mixed in a mixing chamber with cold air and the required drying temperature is automatically regulated. About optional hot gas fans also overpressure drying systems (such as fluidized bed dryers) can be combined with our systems.

Vibratory table (VT)

VTThe vibratory table is mostly applied in saw mills for the lateral conveying of slabs and splinters as well as waste wood. It is very flexible in terms of length, width and height. Standard widths are available in 500 mm steps. The max. area is at the moment 45 m².

The vibratory table mainly consists of a steel-plate platform, guide bars and one or two eccentric shaft drives.

Vibratory dosing feeder (QS)

QS_1The vibratory dosing feeder QS is the ideal intermediate bunker for bark, chips, logs, boards, sawmill waste, old wood, RDF fluff, etc. and is used for the dosing of materials. The maximum length available is 6 m, the maximum drive capacity is 16 KW and the maximum delivery rate is 10 m/min.

Screw conveyors for exact dosing of materials

FS_6Our dosing screw discharger can be one – or more shafts depending on capacity and accuracy of dosing. They are in a shared trough construction. One or two discharge openings facilitate optimum dosing of material supplied to the next process. This is why screw dischargers are particularly suitable for feeding boiler systems, for animal bedding packaging lines and also for feeding and discharge of hammer mills / chip shredders, drying plants in the pellet manufacturing industry and for alternative fuel (RDF) in the cement industry. As special design they can be used in truck or train unloading satiations. There is possible FU regulation of capacity in range 0-100 %.

Toploader

Toploader-1The patented Toploader system is the most economical storage technology for various bulk materials like wood chips, old timber, bark, RDF, corn, grass, pellets and plastics. Applications are for example boiler feeding in biomass power plants, receiving stations for larger storage units in the fuel area, storage boxes for wood chips and shavings in pellet plants, substrate storage and feeding of biogas plants.

toploader-2The Toploader system provides for fully automatic box evacuation without operating personnel. One or more boxes with each up to 400 m³ content get filled from the open side on plane ground area by semi-trailer, tipping scrap skips or wheel loader. The removal is effected with the Toploader on the opposite over a sloping ramp to the subsequent conveying technology with a conveying capacity of up to 100 m³/h. There is a paddle suspended on one side of a movable slide by guide bars that is continuously moved to and fro. During the return movement the paddle is raised and gets re-placed on the floor in front of the material – a new cycle begins. What`s worth to point in this system – there is no pit at the unloading side required. Combined with a simple concrete bottom plate, pre-casted concrete blocks, asphalt surfaces or metal plates there are versatile, cost-effective design. Drive, lifting device and mechanical devices are always outside of the bulk material, accessible at any time and easy to maintain.

Movable rod systems

The movable rod system floor is the proved solution for tipping bulk material. Especially works well with dump truck or truck with walking floor. Oscillatingly suspended rods allow an comparatively and especially controllable flow the bulk material and free-flowing material (max. grain size 40 mm) to an unloading station. The movable rod system assure and solves the well-known problems of fixed grids like: hard to walk and pass, low material flow, the risk of glogging. Disc screen light design

A horizontal belt conveyor ensures optimum direct feed at the level of the screening shafts. Alternatively, material can also be introduced via a feed hopper in the flow direction. The disc separator consists of a solid sectional steel construction on which the screening shafts, bearings and drive elements are mounted. To prevent jamming, the discs can be flexibly mounted with this version. The number of segments can be adapted to suit your requirements.
